In July 2024, the world’s expert oceanographers, scientists, and historians will gather to execute RMS Titanic, Inc.’s first expedition to the Titanic wreck site since 2010. This expedition will focus on imaging and high-resolution photography of the wreck site to preserve the Titanic’s legacy for future generations and scientific study. It will be carried out by ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) to survey the Ship, wreck site, and debris field. The images captured will provide important insights into the condition of the site and contribute to ongoing research efforts and educational initiatives already underway.
The mission of the TITANIC Expedition 2024 is to utilize the latest technology to continue the important work of surveying the Titanic wreck site for current scientific study, enhancing our understanding of its historical significance, identifying at risk artifacts for recovery in future expeditions, and conserving the area for future generations.
